A sound raw and sun-drenched, shaped by the places where it’s made.
Discos Uluulu is currently on tour presenting Jobo Blossoms, a sound collage recorded outdoors, under the sun and in the fresh air, using two microphones, natural percussion, and an acoustic guitar crafted by the late Costa Rican luthier Don Rodrigo Garro.
Working from an open-air studio in the middle of Jardín Lulú over the past year, the songwriter and recording artist followed the cycle of the land from the first planting to the harvests of leafy greens, herbs, and plantains.
Rooted in rhythm, ecology, and collaboration, the recordings are accompanied live by electric bass. At the moment, Discos Uluulu is touring the album live, and the vinyl will be released shortly after the tour.
12″ 180g vinyl with artwork.
